Give your AI assistant access to GetIn
Connect Claude, ChatGPT — or any MCP-compatible AI assistant — to your GetIn account and ask about your events in plain language. Your assistant only ever sees what you're authorized to see, using your own login.
Connect your assistant
GetIn runs a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — the same open standard behind Claude's and ChatGPT's connectors. Add the URL below to your assistant, then sign in with GetIn to grant access.
https://api-new.getin.xyz/mcpClaude
- 1
Open your assistant's connector settings
In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- 2
Paste your GetIn MCP URL
Use the URL above and save the connector.
- 3
Sign in and approve access
Log in with your GetIn producer account and grant the permissions requested — your assistant only ever sees your own events.
ChatGPT
- 1
Open your assistant's connector settings
In ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Developer mode → “New plugin”.
- 2
Fill in the connector
Name: GetIn. Connection: Server URL → the URL above. Authentication: OAuth. In the advanced OAuth settings, set Scopes to events:read.
- 3
Sign in and approve access
Log in with your GetIn producer account and grant the permissions requested — your assistant only ever sees your own events.
Steps above cover Claude and ChatGPT. Any other MCP client that supports OAuth 2.1 connects the same way, from its own connector settings.
What your assistant can do
GetIn's tool set is growing. Here's what's live today and what's next.
- List my events
Ask “how many events do I have coming up?” or “show me my pending events” — your assistant lists your own events by status, complete with cover image, venue, dates, sales, attendee counts, and how many are waiting on your approval.
- Get event salesComing soon
Sales figures for one of your events.
- List event attendeesComing soon
Attendee lists for one of your events.
- Create event draftComing soon
Draft and edit events — publishing will always need your explicit confirmation.
What the response looks like
Ask ChatGPT “how are my events doing?” and it renders a card per event — the same cover image, status, and Views / Sales / Attendees / Pending tiles you already see on My Events.
This card only renders in ChatGPT. Claude answers the same question with the same data, just as plain text — it doesn't yet support rendering rich components from a tool response. That's expected, not a bug.
Scoped, revocable, and yours only
- Your events only — every tool call is authorized as you; your assistant never sees another producer's data.
- Standards-based — OAuth 2.1, the same authorization model Claude and ChatGPT connectors use elsewhere.
- Read-only today — the current tools only read data; nothing publishes, edits, or deletes without a future, explicit confirmation step.
- No money movement — ticket sales, refunds, and payouts stay out of scope for agents.
- Disconnect anytime — remove the connector from your assistant to revoke access immediately.
FAQ
- Which AI assistants work with this?
- Any MCP client that supports OAuth 2.1 — Claude and ChatGPT both work today, with more assistants as they add support. The one difference: ChatGPT renders your events as a card, Claude answers with the same data as plain text.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. The MCP server is remote — your assistant connects to it directly over the URL above.
- Is my data shared with the AI provider?
- Only what a tool call returns, for the question you actually asked — the same as anything else you'd ask your assistant about your own account.
